Dr. Amanda Wilcox completed her training in 2011 at Baptist Health Family Medicine Residency Program. Since then she has been practicing in the River Region area. She attended St. George’s School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies and her undergraduate work was at Lee University in Cleveland, TN, where she received the presidential scholarship.
Dr. Wilcox is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Wilcox is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Wilcox’s heart is to strive for quality patient care.
She is a wife and mother and desires to give back to the community in which she resides. Dr. Wilcox is involved in music, missions and children’s ministry at Remnant Church in Prattville, AL.
Ashley completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2008 from University of South Alabama. Before that she was a Registered Nurse. She graduated from Jacksonville State University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2000 and started practicing as a nurse in 2001. Since 2008 she has worked for Alabama Liver and Digestive Specialists, Wetumpka Pediatrics, Medical Outreach Ministries and United Healthcare as a CRNP. Ashley is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine. She participates in many volunteer activities in the community and enjoys giving back to others.
Ashley is a wife and mother of three children and truly enjoys that part of her life. She works Part-Time for our practice to devote herself to her family. Ashley is involved in children ministry at her church in Prattville, AL. She also enjoys a healthy lifestyle through her endeavors with Plexus to support both her and her family as well.
Leslie completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2017 from Troy University. Before that she was a Registered Nurse. She graduated from University of Alabama with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2003 and started practicing as an RN that same year. Since 2017 she has worked for Neurology Care Center, Jackson Hospital Emergency Department and Main Street Urgent Care as a CRNP. Leslie is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine.
Leslie is a wife and mother of one little girl and really enjoys treating patients of all ages. Leslie is a member of Advanced Practitioners of the River Region and is a native to Holtville, Alabama where she graduated from Holtville High School. She was an avid softball player and still continues to have a love for sports.
Craig Nixon, Medical Assistant
A native of Deatsville, Alabama, Craig served in the Navy for seven years as a Hospital Corpsman before moving to Georgia to work in a Geriatric/Family Practice physician office. Craig later moved back to Alabama where he worked for Medical Outreach Ministries and Baptist Health as a Medical Assistant. Craig has worked with Dr. Amanda Wilcox for the last seven years.
Cindy Norris, Medical Assistant
Cindy and her husband, Steve, and their two German Shepherds live in Marbury, Alabama. She was born and raised in the small town of Neffs, Ohio where she lived until she moved to Montgomery, Alabama during her second year of college. Cindy graduated from Bellaire High School in Bellaire, Ohio and attended Belmont Technical College in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Cindy earned a Diploma in Medical Assisting Technologies from Trenholm State Technical College in Montgomery, AL, where she graduated with honors. She has been working as a Medical Assistant for 26 years in various specialties in the Medical Field. Cindy recently earned her Certification and is now a National Certified Medical Assistant. Cindy enjoys patient care and helping others in any way possible.
Jennifer and her husband, Shawn, and their two girls live in Elmore, Alabama. She was born in Selma, Alabama and moved to Autaugaville, Alabama in her adolescent years where she lived until she was married and moved to Elmore, Alabama. Jennifer graduated from Autaugaville High School in Autaugaville, Alabama. She attended Capps College in Montgomery, Alabama and earned her diploma in Medical Assisting. She has been working as a Medical Assistant for over 10 years in Family Medicine and Urgent Care. Jennifer has her certification from Capps College with National NCCT as a Certified Medical Assistant. Jennifer greatly enjoys what she does and couldn’t imagine not being in the medical field helping others in her community.
Crissy Sales, Referral Specialist
Crissy and her husband, John, and their two girls live in Wetumpka, Alabama. She was born and raised in Wetumpka, Alabama and also graduated from Wetumpka high School. She we on to get her certifications in Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy from Universal Society of Phlebotomy Technicians in Montgomery, Alabama. She has been working in the medical field for 21 years. Crissy currently does our patient referrals and enjoys helping patients in any way possible.
Noel and her husband, Charles, and her 3 children live in Millbrook, Alabama. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama and has been in the medical field for 10 years. Noel loves what does and enjoys helping patients in any way she can.
Chelsea Moffett, Office Manager
Chelsea and her husband, Gabriel, and her little girl live in Deatsville, Alabama. She was born and raised in Prattville, Alabama and graduated from Prattville High School. Chelsea participated in nursing classes and Sports Medicine all throughout High School and attended Troy University in Montgomery for Nursing. She has worked in the medical field for 10 years and truly enjoys what she does. Chelsea is our billing specialist as well and is currently working to become certified in medical billing with New York Institute of Career Development.
